This session will deal with our heart. It will raise important questions
about our heart and God’s heart. Jesus told three back-to-back parables that
illustrate a single point. In all these parables God is represented by the
person who has lost something. And, just as we get rather focused when we lose
something, God is rather focused on those who are lost. He wants to create in us
a heart like that.
Yet, many of Christ’s followers think that we are growing spiritually because
we come to church and attend the meetings and live reasonably good lives. But,
our heart is not growing a little more like God’s heart, that is a little
obsessed about those who are far from him. This session is about creating in us
a heart like God’s heart that is focused on those who are far from Him.
How is your heart today for people who are far from God? Do you love them?
Here is a more difficult question: do you like the? Are you drawn to them? Do
you pray for them? How do you feel about people who are far from God?
God, give us a heart that cares. Give us a heart that thinks about. Give us a
heart that longs for. Give us a heart that prays for. Give us a heart that cares
about those who are far from You.
Saturday Morning Training videos feature about an hour of
training interspersed with interactive questions. The questions are built into
the video itself, so there is not need for any other leader's guide. It is
designed to be used on a Saturday morning in a home with about a dozen teachers
at a time. Alternatively, it could be used in a church setting where discussion
take place around round tables.
Each video is offered in two formats: Normal and reproducible.
The reproducible format licenses you to make up to ten copies for use within one
local church. There is also a buy two, get one free discount.
